See Current Newsletter Found out more about our Committee Members		The Westmorland Branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has been in existence for over 25 years. At present we have 155 members, 129 of which are patients, 8 reside at Holehird Cheshire Home, Windermere and the remainder are committee members and helpers. Our major fundraising activities are flag days in Kendal, Kirkby Lonsdale, Arnside, local supermarkets and two motorway service stations. We also try and hold a coffee morning annually. We hold monthly socials and also have a meeting for the newly diagnosed about 4 times a year. We try to manage a night of Ten Pin Bowling once a year, which is enjoyed by everyone. Other outings and a Christmas Dinner are also part of the branch calendar. The medical and welfare needs of all our patients and carers are treated with sympathy, so practical help is always given where possible. We are fortunate to have a friendly and willing working committee and this makes for a successful and cheerful branch.
