Carry On Gardening
This award-winning site is aimed at people who might be finding it difficult to get around the garden. There is a large ideas exchange section, a gardens topic area, which gives tips on different types of gardening, how to get around and ways to give easier access in the garden. There is a great links section and even a section on useful garden tools. Well worth a visit if you like gardening.

Able Magazine
The online presence for the monthly Disability Lifestyle magazine. It provides articles from its magazine including city guides, holidays and sports. Plus the latest events and a discussion board.

Disability Living Foundation
This is a UK Charity that aims to provide the best possible choice for people who use equipment to live a more independent life. The site has a large Fact-sheet section that you can download (PDF Format) with an amazing array of subjects covered. From choosing a bra or household equipment to footwear, making a complaint or hiring a wheelchair - everything seems to be covered here. There is also a DLF Data section, which provides access to the UK’s most comprehensive and up-to-date database of disability equipment.

Good Access Guide
The online guide to anything accessible. It offers details on products, services, and leisure facilities such as cinemas, sport, transport and even insurance. There are full details on the types of accessibility and relevant links, plus a newsletter and search facility.

Ability
The Ability Project’s aim is to enable disabled people to use computer technology and the internet to access information and ultimately improve their quality of life. The organisation understands that the internet is still the ‘preferred’ place to find information and wants to help people to be able to access this. It has an alphabetical database of links, including ones on MS, computer hardware and software.

Disability Alliance
This is the website of the publishers of the disability rights handbook. They are seen as the leading authority on social security benefits for disabled people. It therefore gives latest news and information on benefits and useful FAQs. There is information on their latest campaigns, projects, training courses and useful links. Plus publications on various aspects on living with disabilities and benefits.

Accessible Travel
This site offers holidays to South Africa, Australia, United States and Canada, as well as cruises and city breaks. It is aimed at people who are slow walkers, mature travellers, wheelchair users and their friends & family. The site gives not only details (& costs) of the accommodation but also attractions around it and accessibility details.

Disability Action
Base in Belfast, the site offers information on their services and events. Plus an A-Z guide on public services in Northern Ireland and news publications. This site is very accessibly friendly and includes the Browsealoud plug-in.
