This feature from the MS Resource Centre gives details on various types of exercise that you can do such as swimming and yoga. It also gives ten reasons why you should exercise; these include improved muscle tone, strength and better circulation.
When the MS Trust carried out a study on exercise they were shocked by the results, only 48% of people with MS do any form of exercise to counter this they have produced a CD-ROM of ways to keep active. The CD-ROM includes, contact details for organisations involved with more than 30 activities, a Tried & Tested section of personal experiences, a selection of links to more leisurely activities such as gardening and photography, general information about fitness for people with MS and research into the value of exercise for people with MS.
This page gives details on a pamphlet produced by the MS Society to advise you on exercise; it gives details on the content and allows you to download it. The booklet examines the types of exercise you can do, how to do it and how to keep cool. They also have contact details for a wide variety of organisations so you can enquire about where you can do Tai chi or aerobics in your area.

She looks at the questions most people ask, gives pointers on good posture and how it can benefit you. This is a light-hearted article form the BBC Radio 4 programme ‘HomeTruths’. The author has MS and talks about how his exercise regime has changed. His regime now includes bathroom surfing, yoga, golf and the hall triple jump!
