Coming to terms with a diagnosis of MS can also have a significant impact on the partner, husband or wife of the person with MS – this is hardly surprising and is perfectly normal, it’s a difficult time. Whilst easier said than done it’s very important that you talk about how you are feeling, coping with the diagnosis, physical symptoms, pain and fatigue can put pressure on you and those closest to you. When we are dealing with difficult issues it can be difficult for us to talk to those we are closest to, sometimes we find it easier to talk to ‘other people’ or to find more information on our own – the MS Trust and MS Society have a wealth of information and also chat rooms which you might find useful.
